Dianna and I enjoyed a post church service meal with our pastor and my BFF Bill Oudemolen (right) in Littleton CO last night, celebrating his 60th a week early.
Along for the fun were internationally acclaimed writer Philip Yancey and his wife Janet (right), whose family attended Bill's father's church in Florida for a couple of years in the 1960s. That's Bill's wife, Jan, left.Philip and I (who both also turned 60 this Fall) go way back to the 1970s when we served on the editorial staffs of Campus Life and Moody Magazine respectively. Philip will speak at our Christian Writer's Guild Writing for the Soul conference in Denver in February, along with Max Lucado (http://www.christianwritersguild.com/).
