Back among the land of the living...and babysitting...

Eldest son Dallas and his wife Amanda were off to Palm Desert to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary, and Dianna and I watched their three for the weekend. Sammy (7) showed me his Incredible Hulk pose; most convincing, eh? I asked him to sit with me on the couch to watch TV and he immediately switched into a robot pose and monotoned, "Must listen to old human."
Playing surrogate dad with Maya (4) for Dad's Day at pre-school. I was sure the oldest dad that day!
Elle (Beanie), three, with one of their Guniea Pigs. Her new thing is knock-knock jokes. Who's There? Yah. Yah who? I didn't know you were a cowboy.

One of their favorite things is to go to the hotel pool with Grandma.

Favorite Maya line of the week: "When you're here, we get to eat junk and you have to do whatever we say."

Yeah, no. :)

That's our friend Ann Denison (from Fort Lauderdale, FL) between us and in front our friends Thai missionaries Chuck and Krissie Cilano, on their way back to Thailand through LAX. They all loved playing with the kids.
Last shot before heading home and leaving the kids to their parents, who won't feed them McDonalds, Pizza Hut, and junk every day.

What, no Taco Bell and KFC? Every grandchild needs junk food from all the four basics; burger, pizza, taco & chicken.
But you get brownie points for the bubbles.
