Enthusiastic Response So Far...

I'm thrilled to be getting such input regarding a novel that became a passion for me.

Jerry, I'm waiting for your book to arrive. Of course it will be a bit longer since I live overseas and it has to go to my stateside address first, but I can't wait to read it!

I just finished yesterday and could not put your book down until I did! It's clear why you say that this could be your lifes work. What a wonderful and moving story of God's love, grace and forgiveness. Yes, these characters will be with me for a long time. THANK YOU!

Jerry......now that I've finished reading your amazing book, I checked out the video clip of you discussing Riven and something is driving me batty. You mention in the interview, that Brady gets the idea for his execution when he reads in a movie magazine that a film company is doing a documentary on Jesus, and he wants to 'audition' for the part of Jesus. I'm stumped because I didn't get that at all in the book....and I even re-read back to his first discussion of the idea with Ravina. When they present the idea to Yanno, Brady says that God gave him the idea, and I what I got from earlier chapters, was that God impressed the idea upon Brady as he got more and more into the Scriptures and realized the great cost Jesus really paid for us - and wants others to see that too. Also, I didn't see any mention of a documentary.....only that after the press got word of the execution plan, then a film company secured the rights to film it. Did I miss something? :-)

No, Marguerite, you didn't miss anything. The interview about the story came before the writing, and the writing always takes on a life of its own. :)
