An Interesting Web Site (and a movie announcement)

As I've mentioned here (probably too many times) before, I see Riven as a sort of fictional magnum opus. The idea hit and stuck with me for decades before I was finally able to write it, and I couldn't be happier with 1) how it turned out, 2) the beautiful job Tyndale House did with editing and packaging and promoting, and 3) the enthusiastic response from readers.

My son Dallas, who runs our film company in Los Angeles (Jenkins Entertainment), has--as you can imagine--read almost all of my books, and he's planning to direct the movie based on this one. He has another movie in the works first, so it will be a year or so, but I will keep you posted.

Meanwhile, the title has been nominated in the fiction category for a Gold Medallion from the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association. The results will be announced next month.

And Tyndale, due to the many heartwarming reader responses we have been receiving, has opened a website where people can interact about the story. I'd be honored if you'd check it out.
