Refresh Your Writing

Wednesday's Writing on Writing

It’ll soon be time again for our annual Christian Writers Guild’s Writing For the Soul conference at the Grand Hyatt in Denver (February 18-21).

If you’ve attended before you may have been struck by how smoothly everything seemed to run. That’s no accident. It’s the result of countless hours of work by our staff.

When you attend a writers conference you shouldn’t have to worry over the details. Our goal is to free you to learn, to forge friendships, to discover. You need a retreat from ordinary hassles, time to think, the ability to unclog your creativity.

Writers conferences offer the opportunity to hear from those who have made it or are making it in the field and who understand what you’re going through.

At our Denver event, you’ll learn from master teachers and speakers like Max Lucado and Philip Yancey (top and second respectively). You’ll get to pick the brains of prolific authors like Phil Vischer (Veggie Tales, 3rd photo right) and the always hilarious and moving Kendra Smiley (bottom photo).

If you want nuts and bolts and beyond, we’ve got it. Our presenters will show you how to reach the next level of professionalism.

As well as nourishment for the mind, we offer meat for the soul. Listen, learn, and share, then see what happens.

We care about writers and their dreams. We exist to help hone their skills and sharpen their craft.

It’s not too late to register, but we do need to hear from you soon.
Register online at www.ChristianWritersGuild.com/conferences, phone us toll-free at 1 (866) 495-5177, or fax your registration to (719) 495-5181. Guild members still receive a 20 percent discount on your conference fee.

Writing for the Soul ’10 in Denver could change your life and your career. Come find out for yourself.

I so wish I could be coming to this conference. Living in NZ, I can't afford the flights over. Maybe one year when we're not trying to support our new little family on one income :)
My prayers will be with you all through the conference. I know it will be a fantastic time for those attending.
